The Enzymes

About The Enzymes

The Enzymes series began in 1950 and continued as the Third Edition edited by Chemistry Nobel Prize winner, Paul D. Boyer, Professor of Chemistry at Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

Since its conception, The Enzymes has covered ground breaking research in enzyme structure, function and control over a span of 40 years. In 2000, Fuyu Tamanoi, Professor of Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics at UCLA, was bestowed the honor of series editor in this prestigious series. Until this day, The Enzymes continues to provide updates and innovative information in key areas of research.

Since 2002, Fuyuhiko Tamanoi has been a series editor for The Enzymes, Academic Press/Elsevier, and published two books almost every year.

From 2017, Laurie S. Kaguni and Fuyuhiko Tamanoi have been co-series editors for The Enzymes.
